I may have squealed out loud when Chinenye’s inquiry for a customised branding photoshoot landed in my inbox.

Not my most professional moment, but hey—when a pro-sustainability style blogger wants YOU to capture their brand, happy dances happen.

Coffee may have been spilled. A neighbour may have looked through the blinds. I regret nothing.

What drew me to Chinenye’s project? Her brand’s refreshing approach to fashion.

It had me instantly inspired.

In an industry built on fast fashion and even faster content, this branding session is Chinenye’s statement about where she stands- a place where sustainability and style coexist beautifully.

We connected immediately over her editorial style mood board and shared energy.

I also loved how open she was to building on each other’s ideas.

There’s something magical about working with someone who trusts the creative process of their customised branding photoshoot while staying true to their brand vision.

The Process

What I love most about brand photography sessions is capturing the heart behind a brand.

For Chinenye’s shoot, we leaned into a soft minimalist vibe— natural and artificial light, rich textures, and minimal distractions — to create images that feel like they were pulled straight from her personal manifesto. 

We wanted her future clients to feel what working with Chinenye is like.

We wanted them to instantly understand that with Chinenye, they don’t have to transform into someone else—their authentic style is already within them and ready to be explored. 

The magic of these pictures isn’t in the perfect lighting (though I’ll take some credit for that, thank you very much😁) or the careful compositions.

It’s in capturing someone who’s building a business that reflects her values and invites clients to embrace what makes them uniquely themselves.
